Helpful culinary sites- Award of Credit, Scholarships and useful info- Check it out!

In an effort to aide everyone on their culinary educational journey, I will continue to post as many helpful sites I can find, with the intent of educating and assisting you with your future endeavors!

The Culinary Trust

FUNDING  THE FUTURE OF FOOD

Sites such as the Culinary trust are important to the community as they encourage programs which meet the needs of those in need as well as programs which encourage culinary education programs. The future of culinary arts in higher ed is a concern as the number of culinary programs in comparison to other career paths is rather low in comparison. The majority of programs in academia are very limited and typically offer no more than a vocational certificate in the culinary field. What is more concerning is the current institutions that do offer Associate degrees in the culinary field, unfortunately, are not regionally accredited. When making the decision to pursue your education in the culinary field it is important to do one's research and find a school which offers what you are looking for. If you want to pursue an Associate of Science degree in Culinary Management then make sure you find an institution which awards Associate of Science degrees and is accredited by one the seven accrediting associations.  I will post a link which has more information and will help you identify the correct type of institutions.

The Culinary Trust focuses on these three areas;

  •  SUPPORT INNOVATIVE COMMUNITY SUPPORTED HUNGER RELIEF,
  •  ENCOURAGE FOOD WRITING THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE AND EMPOWERING  PASSIONATE LEADERS TACKLING IMPORTANT ISSUES IN FOOD
